A private Indian hospital releases information about QuadrigaCX CEO’s death

Fortis Escorts Hospital located in a city of Jaipur in India has released more information about the death of Gerald Cotten, CEO of QuadrigaCX, as reported by CoinDesk. Cotten was reportedly admitted to the hospital in the evening of December 8 and died of cardiac arrest a little less than a day later on December 9.

Cotten was admitted to the hospital in critical condition suffering from septic shock and other issues relating to Crohn’s disease. The hospital said that Cotten suffered a cardiac arrest but was revived by CPR and then as his condition worsened, he suffered a second fatal cardiac arrest. The statement retrieved by CoinDesk said that all standard medical procedures and guidelines were followed.

A Canadian supreme court granted QuadrigaCX, who owes $190 million to its customers, an order for creditor protection. The exchange now has a period of 30 days to come up with a ‘Plan of Arrangement’.
