Brokerage platform TradeStation links up with crypto exchange ErisX

TradeStation Crypto – the crypto trading arm of online brokerage and trading technology firm TradeStation – has integrated with ErisX to let customers access the exchange's spot market liquidity.

TradeStation targets professional users like hedge funds and money managers. It established its crypto subsidiary in May 2019 after observing increased client interests in the digital asset space.

With the latest integration, these clients can now trade bitcoin, bitcoin cash, ether, and litecoin via ErisX's order book. TradeStation President John Bartleman said in a press statement that this will allow users to enter into the new asset class in a familiar setting.

"Our customers are increasingly interested in the digital asset space, and we are thrilled to be working with ErisX," Bartleman said in a statement.

ErisX, originally a cash-settled derivative swaps exchange, started to focus on cryptocurrencies in 2017. It launched its crypto spot trading platform last April and began offering physically settled bitcoin derivatives in December.
