Coinbase is considering 17 new token listings; Avalanche, Chia, and Filecoin among the candidates

Coinbase is reviewing 17 new tokens for potential listing on its platform, the exchange announced in a blog post Thursday. The projects include: Avalanche, Celo, Chia, Coda, Dfinity, Filecoin, Handshake, Kadena, Mobilecoin, NEAR, Nervos, Oasis, Orchid, Polkadot, Solana, Spacemesh, and Telegram.

Notably, a large number of these assets have yet to publicly launch. For example, Chia Network, founded by BitTorrent founder Bram Cohen, is still in its testing phase. Telegram also just recently released the public testnet of its TON network and has yet to distribute the network's native token, GRAM.

In August, Coinbase revealed its ambition to allow its customers to “have access… to at least 90% of the aggregate market cap of all digital assets in circulation."
